Poetics of Design

making, poetic exploration

Role: asset creation & co-facilitator

Overview/Process/Result:

As a designer I am interested in the ways in which making, and objects, can create embodied knowledge: what does it mean to know the world through your hands? Through much of my work, I privilege a design-led approach, or put more simply, I use objects as probes for research. This body of work is a collection of different objects I have made. Some of these objects are functional and others are speculative. All of them have taught me something. They also highlight my technical skills as a model maker. I am proficient in laser cutting, 3D printing, vacuforming, lathes and a variety of shop tools.
